It looks like the mastermind behind hit crime procedural shows, producer Dick Wolf, is expanding the FBI franchise universe with a new spin-off focused on the CIA for CBS.

FBI itself premiered in 2018, and focuses on a New York City field office of the bureau. Stars Jeremy Sisto, Missy Peregrym, and Zeeko Zaki have been with the series for all seven seasons, including the latest, which began in October.

So, it should come as no surprise for CBS to put a new FBI spinoff in development. This one is called FBI: CIA, and it will air as a backdoor pilot in an episode of the FBI mothership this spring.
