Bill Belichick’s debut as UNC Tar Heels football coach will come against TCU on Labor Day, Sept. 1, at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN, the ACC announced Thursday. The Tar Heels hired the 72-year-old Belichick, who won six Super Bowls as New England Patriots head coach, in December after firing Mack Brown.

Bill Belichick's contract details were released by UNC Thursday, and his whopping salary of $10 million per year — excluding incentives — puts him among the 10 highest-paid coaches.

Miller was IMG's head football coach for three seasons. He won 25 games, including an 18-game win streak from 2022-2024.

TCU football’s season opener against Bill Belichick and North Carolina has been moved to a national televised broadcast prime time slot. The Horned Frogs will now face the Tar Heels on Labor Day, Sept. 1 at 6:30 pm.
