Nigel Farage insisted the pair are still friends despite disagreeing over far-right activist Tommy Robinson. Nigel Farage has told Sky News he "can't be pushed or bullied" by anybody after Elon Musk said the Reform MP "doesn't have what it takes" to lead his party.

Mr Musk’s allyship with Mr Farage would seem like a natural fit, given that the Reform leader’s relationship with Mr Trump goes back much further. The pair first met in 2016, shortly after the president-elect’s first election victory, and they are thought to have remained allies since.

Twelve Reform UK councillors are reportedly set to quit the party in protest over Nigel Farage’s leadership. Mr Farage is now facing a revolt within his own party just days after billionaire tech tycoon Elon Musk called for him to be replaced.
