So it should come as no surprise that with the Broncos’ success, other teams have taken notice. Saturday afternoon, the New York Jets agreed in principle to make Darren Mougey their new general manager, a source confirmed to The Post.

The New York Jets' new general manager has one important tie to the new head coach, and both have a history that could be encouraging.

According to NFL Insider Tom Pelissero, "The #Jets agreed to terms with Darren Mougey as their general manager, sources tell The Insiders. A former QB, Mougey spent 13 years in Denver, most recently as assistant GM and working with Sean Payton. Now he's teaming up with onetime Payton assistant Aaron Glenn in New York."

Darren Mougey, a longtime Broncos scout and executive who became their assistant GM in 2022, is the new general manager of the Jets, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
