Apple Inc. disclosed a 18% pay increase for Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook ahead of its annual meeting next month, while also saying it opposed a shareholder measure calling for an end to the company’s diversity program.

Cook’s base salary of $3 million has remained unchanged in the past three years, but his total compensation increased 18% in 2023, the technology giant said.

Apple CEO Tim Cook collected a total compensation package of $74.6 million in 2024, up from $63.2 million in 2023 but well below his 2022 haul.

Synchrony Pay Later can soon be used to complete purchases in installments via Apple Pay . Synchrony joins existing companies such as Affirm and Klarna, both of which offer buy-now, pay-later services via Apple Pay. They act as a replacement to Apple Pay Later, an installment service Apple abandoned in 2024.

Synchrony is now available as a buy-now, pay-later option when checking out with Apple Pay online and in apps on an iPhone or iPad, notes MacRumors. Synchrony was added to a list of Apple Pay installment providers in the U.

Apple discontinued its Apple Pay Later service this summer, but several third-party options have been added since, including Synchrony today.
